A Proud Academic Achievement: Book Authored by Dr. Bindu Joseph of St. Joseph College of Teacher Education for Women Released at a Distinguished Gathering of Scholars

St. Joseph College of Teacher Education for Women, Ernakulam hosted a distinguished Book Release Ceremony on 25 February 2026 at 2:30 PM in the college auditorium. The programme was organized in collaboration with the Kerala Bhasha Institute, Ernakulam, to mark the release of a scholarly work authored by Dr. Bindu Joseph, Professor of the college.

The academic gathering brought together scholars, educators, and students to celebrate the significant contribution of Dr. Bindu Joseph to language studies and academic discourse. The programme commenced with a welcome address by Prof. Dr. Betty P. J., Principal of St. Joseph College of Teacher Education for Women, who highlighted the importance of academic writing and research in strengthening the field of education.

The meeting was presided over by C. Dr. Vimal Jose, Manager of the institution. The introductory address was delivered by N. Jayakrishnan, Assistant Director of Kerala Bhasha Institute, emphasizing the relevance of the book in the context of contemporary language studies. The book was introduced in detail by M. P. Beena, Editor at Kerala Bhasha Institute, who explained the academic significance and thematic focus of the work.

The highlight of the programme was the formal release of the book by Rev. Fr. Bony Jose Kattikad. The first copy of the book was received by T. P. Antony, former Principal of Avila College of Education, Edacochin.

The keynote address was delivered by Rev. Fr. Benny Nalkara CMI, Provincial Superior of St. Joseph Province, Kalamassery, who appreciated the scholarly effort behind the publication. Felicitations were offered by Dr. Suja T. V., Syndicate Member of Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, and Dr. K. S. Krishnakumar, Professor at SNM Training College, Moothakunnam.

As part of the programme, Sagara S., teacher at St. Joseph’s UP School, Neeloor, shared reflections and experiences related to the themes of the book. This was followed by the author’s response by Dr. Bindu Joseph, who expressed gratitude to the organizers, colleagues, and participants for their encouragement and support.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Sisily A. A., Assistant Professor of the college. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members, researchers, and students, making it a meaningful academic gathering that celebrated scholarly achievement and the promotion of language studies.
