St. Joseph College of Teacher Education for Women, Ernakulam has achieved a remarkable distinction by securing the Second Rank in the Kerala Institutional Ranking Framework (KIRF) 2026 in the Teacher Education Institutions category. This prestigious recognition highlights the institution’s excellence in teacher education, academic quality, and institutional performance.

The achievement was received with great pride by Prof. Dr. Betty P. J., Principal, and Dr. Joby Joy Kurien, who coordinated and uploaded the institutional data for the ranking. In recognition of this accomplishment, they received the award from R. Bindu, Honourable Minister for Higher Education, Government of Kerala.

The Kerala State Higher Education Council introduced KIRF to assess higher education institutions in Kerala based on parameters such as teaching–learning quality, research, graduation outcomes, inclusivity, and social contribution.
