The St. Joseph College of Teacher Education Ernakulam in collaboration with the Xavier board of higher education in India, Kerala (North region) organised a seminar on “Empowering HEIs- unravelling the role of NEP 2020” on August 18, 2023. The seminar was conducted in the college auditorium.
The seminar aimed to provide students and faculties with a complete insights into NEP 2020, its implications and the key challenges it brings to the higher education landscape in kerala context. The event commenced with lamp lighting and was inaugurated by the distinguished chief guest Rev. Dr. Sr. Teresa CSST, General secretary,Xavier board of higher education in India, Bangalore. Dr. Alphonsa Vijaya Joseph, Principle of St. Teresa’s college,Autonomous, Ernakulam and the president of Xavier board of higher education in India, kerala (North) region presided the Seminar. Dr. Priya K Nair, Assistant professor and research guide of St. Teresa’s college Ernakulam and Prof. Dr. Sunila Thomas, Principal of Titus II Teacher’s College, Thiruvalla were the distinguished guest Speakers.
The programme started at 9:30 am with the welcome address by Dr. Alice Joseph, Principal of St. Joseph College of Teacher Education for Women,Ernakulam.
